Duty to Accommodate (DTA)
For circumstances where employees may be medically unable to return to their own occupation, the employer has a Duty to Accommodate (DTA).
PHC’s Occupational Health Department will work with the Human Resources Department, the employee’s Physician, Operations Leader and Union to determine if their position can be modified. If that isn’t possible, other positions will be explored, based on experience, qualifications, and medical restrictions and/or limitations.
