Postings: Internal/Replacement

Applicable when hiring for unionized positions:

  • Determine staffing needs (e.g., new position requests, replacement requests for permanent or temporary positions).
  • Put through posting request(s) in HR Connect (my activity-forms-posting-replacement). Contact an HR Analyst for assistance.
  • Refer all employees (internal applicants) to the PHC Employees Internal Posting System section of the Providence Health Care's intranet, PHC Connect. This is where employees can login to their online profile, apply and upload their resume.
  • Once a posting has closed, wait for the HR Analyst to qualify the top five applicants and release the posting as "Ready to Hire." (This may take a few days if the position requires testing, or if the employee does not attach their resume).
  • You will receive notification when the posting has been qualified by the HR Analyst and selected as "Ready to Hire." The posting will also show up under "Ready to Hire" in HR Connect. Proceed with scheduling an interview with the applicants, if applicable. Notify an HR Analyst and Recruitment Advisor if you require a selection plan spreadsheet to interview the internal applicants.
  • Offer the position to the most senior qualified applicant, or the highest scoring applicant on the interview and release the posting as "Hire” in HR Connect.
