Postings: External

  • All individuals who are not existing PHC employees must create an online profile and upload their resumes (PHC does not accept paper resumes/emailed resumes, unless applicants have set up their profiles). More information can be found on PHC's career page: www.providencehealthcare.org/careers
  • Notify your Recruitment Advisor of your external needs (e.g., amount of hires, what you are looking for, applicable advertising you would like, time lines, post on external website etc.). For more information, refer to the Recruitment Planning Document.
  • For a specific posting you wish to have a candidate be attached to, notify the Recruitment Advisor of the individual and that they have been informed to set up an online portfolio (*some candidates may not have applied for the specific job when they set up their online profile).
  • HR completes “testing” before a candidate can be released to the interview phase of recruitment.
    • Applicant Testing:
Testing is used as part of a system of screening tools for employment, along with the pre-screen, interview and reference checks, to confirm that candidates (internal and external) meet minimum benchmark requirements for positions in contract and non-contract positions. All tests that are administered must reflect the job description and the actual work in the job. All tests administered to internal and external candidates must be the same to ensure consistency and equity between internal and external candidates. Most tests are administered by the HR Analyst team (for internal applicants) and/or Recruitment team (for external applicants).
    • For more information please contact your Recruitment Advisor to review the PHC Testing Policy and Guidelines.

  • Review external applicant resumes in HR Connect

  • Arrange interview with applicants who have been approved by Recruitment.
    • Notify your Recruitment Advisor if you require an interview template.
  • If an applicant is successful in the interview, please collect references from the applicant, as per the “PHC Reference Checking Policy,” utilizing the PHC Reference Check template. Submit the references to the Recruitment Advisor.
  • If the applicant is not successful in the interview, please provide notes and reasons why to your Recruitment Advisor.
  • Please see the Reference Checking Memo for additional information and frequently asked questions.
  • If Reference Checks are positive, then you may work with the Recruitment Advisor to set the wage/create the offer for the applicant (* this does not apply for HEU positions).
