Criteria-led Discharges (CLD)

The Medicine Program has implemented this criterion, which allows physicians to write discharge orders up to 72 hours in advance of an anticipated discharge.

The physician does not have to be physically present on the day of discharge as long as the predetermined clinical criteria have been met.
